Behind the image

This photograph was taken during a journey through the Ngorongoro area, where we came across a young herder out on the plain with livestock. When we stopped, we shared the food and water we had left from our lunch, and he came running toward the vehicle across the grassland.

What stayed with me was the openness of the moment — a brief meeting on a long day, set against the wide landscape around him.
